Michelle Renee Hiatt is passionate about quilting. She started her love affair 20+ years ago in the 1990s. Michelle Renee is the designer her own line of patterns, Sew On the Go and for Modern 180, a modern pattern division of Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design. Additionally, Michelle Renee is a certified Studio 180 Design Instructor. Michelle Renee teaches at national and regional Quilt Shows throughout the US.
Michelle Renee is a certified Professional Process Expert (LSSMBB); she uses her process improvement techniques and applies them to her quilting and teaching others how to simplify their piecing while improving the quality of their quilt making. She is known for her humor, enthusiasm and encouragement! By the end of any of Michelle's classes you will become more at ease with your quilt piecing and find yourself stress-free.
Michelle’s designs are featured in Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting Magazine, Quilter’s Newsletter & Modern Quilting Unlimited Magazine.
Furthermore, Michelle teaches at Vermont Quilt Festival, Hershey Quilt Odyssey, MAQ- Mid-Appalachian, and American Quilt Society’s Quilt Weeks across the country. Michelle Renee’s quilts have been exhibited in several national quilt shows and have received numerous awards. Most recently, Winter Jewels (patterned as Loco for Lemoyne Stars), took two 1st place, a 3rd place and viewer’s choice at national quilt shows.
